Job Title: Quality Consultant

Join Austin Energy's Corporate Quality Services team as a Quality Consultant, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the value and delivery of products, services, and information across the organization.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Consultant to facilitate cross-functional business planning initiatives, lead systematic problem-solving efforts, and implement cross-functional process improvement techniques to boost organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support projects related to the development and improvement of organizational programs, processes, and systems.
  • Use quality assurance methodologies to assist with current state analysis assessments.
  • Conduct continuous improvement projects for business units within the organization.
  • Support risk mitigation evaluations to improve organizational performance.
  • Conduct assessments of organizational systems and processes.
  • Support project teams and organizational change efforts.
  • Conduct continual improvement training.
  • Support the organization's quality center of excellence.
Requirements:
  • Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field related to the job, plus three (3) years of experience related to the job.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
  • Experience in supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and managing risk.
  • Experience supporting Quality Center of Excellence (CoE) efforts and promoting quality standards within specific teams or departments.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting business transformation efforts and working on projects with guidance from senior staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to identify risks, process inefficiencies, and support targeted improvements that contribute to key results.
  • Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and managing risk.
  • Experience supporting Quality Center of Excellence (CoE) efforts and promoting quality standards within specific teams or departments.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting business transformation efforts and working on projects with guidance from senior staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to identify risks, process inefficiencies, and support targeted improvements that contribute to key results.
  • Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.
