Job Overview

Core Objective: To ensure the delivery of well-maintained golf carts to guests while providing exceptional customer service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries and requests.
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival, presenting them with clean and fully equipped golf carts, and assist with their golf equipment.
  • Maintain an organized and sufficient inventory of golf carts in designated areas.
  • Approach guests at the conclusion of their rounds to clean their golf clubs and assist in the return of golf carts.
  • Adhere to established procedures for daily tasks, including collecting and cleaning range balls, managing the storage and charging of golf carts, and maintaining cleanliness in staging areas.
  • Monitor the overall cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the property and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of clubhouse events related to golf.
  • Transport golf carts between staging and storage areas as required.
  • Report any customer complaints to the supervisor for resolution.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all services and products offered by the golf course, actively promoting them to guests.
  • Engage in the routine cleaning and maintenance of the golf cart fleet, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Oversee the practice area, ensuring range balls are collected safely and cleaned as necessary.
  • Manage the issuance and return of rental clubs, ensuring proper cleaning and storage.
  • Clean guests' shoes and change spikes when needed.
  • Implement daily play policies as a Starter and Player Assistant, ensuring adherence to the Pace of Play program.
  • Support Cart Mechanics as needed.
  • Promote and adhere to all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn.
  • Report any suspicious activities or hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas consistently.
  • Practice safe work habits to prevent injuries, including the safe operation of machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations among all golf staff and proper handling of equipment.
  • Attend mandatory meetings as required.
  • Perform additional tasks and cross-training as directed.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Minors must obtain a work permit. Fluency in English is necessary. Previous experience in a resort setting is preferred.

Skills: Attention to detail, organizational skills, quick learner, safety-oriented, high service standards, diplomatic, strong verbal communication, courteous, friendly, professional, effective team player, customer service focused, capable of working independently, trustworthy, and reliable.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift, bend, stoop, reach, and lift to perform job tasks. Occasionally required to handle objects weighing up to 80 lbs over short distances. Must be able to operate electric carts safely and withstand prolonged sun exposure.
