About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and team-oriented Nurse Assistant to join our care team at the Daughters of Charity Ministries, Inc. in Menands, NY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with each Sister
  • Assist with the provision of patient care, complying with established standards of care and defined procedures
  • Assist with the orientation of newly hired nurse assistants
  • Work with other staff members to achieve departmental goals and maintain good morale and teamwork
  • React positively to change and handle other tasks as assigned
  • Maintain professional discretion and confidentiality in all areas
  • Be proactive; follow through with changes
  • Participate in committees as needed
  • Provide leadership through example and sharing of knowledge with others
  • Have a knowledge of and an ability to apply the concepts of Person Respected Care
  • Complete yearly required training both internally and externally
Requirements
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality

The Daughters of Charity Ministries, Inc. is a private residence for the Daughters of Charity. We offer independent, assisted, and memory care for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity. We are located in a wonderful park-like setting in Menands, NY, with on-site vehicle parking.
