Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Specialist Senior to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering review, coordination, and oversight for operations, maintenance, repair, and construction work
  • Oversee and coordinate activities with trade shops, including prioritizing work, reviewing ongoing projects, and inspecting installed equipment
  • Plan, conduct, and direct projects or major phases of significant projects and coordinate the efforts of engineers and technical support staff
  • Manage project design or construction efforts, including scheduling, funding, and day-to-day project oversight
  • Assist the client's contracting officer (CO) and contracting officer's technical representative (COTR) with acquisition planning, execution, and administration
  • Ensure timely input of all data, comments, and documentation into MAXIMO software project management tool
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a facilities professional
  • 5+ years of experience in an assigned field, including high voltage power, mechanical systems, fire protection, or construction
  • Experience with the implementation or execution of design documents
  • Experience with reviewing design documentation and identifying deficiencies, inaccuracies, and noncompliance issues with the design intent
  • Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs)
  • Ability to evaluate conditions and draft engineering memos that provide sound engineering guidance consistent with industry best practices and all Federal, State, and Local codes
  • Ability to review and perform engineering calculations
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with managing project design or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight
  • Experience with MAXIMO
  • Experience with new and existing building systems and site surveys and calculations
  • Knowledge of the ASHRAE standards, International Building Code, and pertinent NFPA publications related to mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of the CAD systems, AutoCAD, or REVIT
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate activities with the trade shops, including prioritization of work, review of ongoing projects, and inspection of installed equipment
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD.
