Position Summary

The IT Support Supervisor is responsible for guiding the IT support team to ensure efficient resolution of technical challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:

  • Incident Oversight:

    • Review incident reports to pinpoint trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Operational Management:
    • Create and enforce IT support policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Administer support ticketing systems to prioritize and track requests.
    • Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Customer Support:
    • Deliver high-level assistance to end-users, addressing complex technical challenges and escalations.
    • Encourage a customer-centric culture within the IT support team.
    • Develop and provide training materials to enhance end-user skills and reduce support requests.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work with other departments and external vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.
    • Effectively communicate with stakeholders regarding system status, outages, and upgrades.
    • Prepare and present reports on support performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and suggest enhancements to IT support processes and technologies.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to ensure the IT support team remains current with best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Skills:
    • Extensive knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring technical teams.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are advantageous.
