Fleet Engineer Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Engineer to join our team at Trinity Industries, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate railcar designs and products for compliance with regulatory and contractual standards.
- Develop and manage engineering change processes, engineering drawing packages, and maintenance instructions.
- Lead engineering projects for creating railcar specifications and reviewing with customers.
- Manage CAD functional activities and provide internal technical consultative services to division/plant managers.
- Maintain external relationships with vendors, customers, and engineering personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in engineering procedures and administration, with emphasis on railcar design preferred.
- Excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects of differing scale.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to execute all phases of product design, prototype development, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of AAR and/or FRA regulations, as well as Autodesk systems like AutoCAD and Inventor.
