Part Time Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Part Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kemps. As a Part Time Maintenance Technician, you will assist our skilled Maintenance Team in maintaining the care and upkeep of our property and production assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, and inspecting equipment
  • Work on projects and assist in the overall maintenance and safe operations within the plant
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance practices
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably in the food and beverage industry
  • Minimum 1 year experience with technical skills such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and/or HVAC
  • Minimum 1 year experience with a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to handle basic hand tools
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually the entire shift; occasionally required to climb or balance
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a cold, wet environment with moderate to high noise volume
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks, in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations
