About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Part Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kemps. As a Maintenance Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by assisting our skilled Maintenance Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating, cleaning, and inspecting equipment
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of complex equipment issues
  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance maintenance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility, preferably in the food and beverage industry
  • 1+ year of experience with technical skills, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC
  • 1+ year of experience with a variety of equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to handle basic hand tools
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually the entire shift; occasionally required to climb or balance
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a cold, wet environment with moderate to high noise volume
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and criminal checks, in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations
