Job Description Summary

Maintain and repair complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Systems: Identify and resolve issues with industrial chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
  • Control Systems Expertise: Analyze and repair control valves, dampers, and other mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain power and control circuits, including conduit installation and electrical work.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, including printed circuit boards.
  • Refrigerant Handling: Safely handle and dispose of refrigerants, and maintain certification in refrigerant reclaim and recovery.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an HVAC Technician or in a related maintenance role.
  • Certifications: Minimum of 1 certificate of completion in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and building maintenance.
  • Refrigerant Certification: Must be certified in refrigerant reclaim and recovery.
  • Language Skills: Requires the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to operate a scissor lift, forklift, and articulated boom lift.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Education: Associate degree or 2-year certificate in maintenance of air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and/or building maintenance.
  • Experience: Experience using maintenance systems and software.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Analytical and Organizational Skills: Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship: This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals of the United States, asylees, and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check and physical examination.
