Position Overview:
Regions Hospital is in search of a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in a full-time, daytime role within our Oncology Clinic located in Coon Rapids.
Role Responsibilities:
In a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting, the RN will deliver professional nursing care that encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation, adhering to the standards set by the Oncology Nursing Society and our institution.
This role is pivotal in care coordination, addressing patient needs, and facilitating communication with physicians, inpatient care, home health, and hospice teams as necessary.
The RN will demonstrate a compassionate and proficient approach to foster patient confidence and contribute to a patient-centered environment that prioritizes the needs of patients and their families.
Additional Duties:
Other responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday.
Required Qualifications:
- An associate degree in nursing with a minimum of one year of RN experience, or a bachelor's degree in nursing, or a Master's degree in nursing.
- At least one year of hospital nursing or equivalent experience is essential.
- Current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification or the willingness to obtain it within one to two years of employment, or successful completion of 36 cancer-related continuing education nursing contact hours per Commission on Cancer accreditation cycle (tracked by department).
- A valid Registered Nurse license in Minnesota and Wisconsin (or documentation showing it is in process within six months of hire).
- BLS certification through an AHA accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in oncology care or within an outpatient oncology clinic.
