Job Overview

The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our mission of improving cardiovascular health for all.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Health Equity Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our program, you will play a critical role in addressing health disparities based on race, ethnicity, and gender.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pregnancy-Related Research: Build on groundwork in pregnancy-related research, including dissemination of best practices in follow-up for conditions such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, and preeclampsia.
  • Research Initiatives: Actively participate in ongoing women's clinical research initiatives, contributing to protocol development, patient recruitment strategies, enrollment/consent, and follow-up visits.
  • Program Implementation: Implement programs, projects, grants, and strategies adhering to research protocols.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and manage external and internal key strategic relationships to support population health, research projects, grants, and strategy implementation.
  • Health Equity Initiatives: Assist in developing health equity initiatives, educational resources, research studies, screening events, projects, and services.
  • Grant Writing: Assist in writing grant proposals to fund community-facing initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Present to community and professional audiences as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, such as public health, public policy, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in community or population health, with knowledge of programmatic approaches and models in health assessment, interventions, and research dissemination.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently to manage multiple concurrent activities.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of social determinants of health and their impact on chronic disease prevention and management.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
