As an Inventory Control Specialist at Tangent Technologies, your primary responsibility will be to maintain precise inventory oversight and facilitate material handling operations. This position encompasses conducting inventory audits, managing sample collections from storage units, and assisting with the reception of incoming goods.
Work Schedule: 6am-230pm (Monday-Friday)
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Audits: Execute daily inventory audits for raw materials and finished products to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
- Facility Inspections: Perform routine inspections of the facility and monitor storage levels to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Material Coordination: Engage in daily meetings to align on material requirements and inventory strategies.
- Sample Management: Gather samples from storage units for quality assurance and request additional samples as necessary to meet operational demands.
- Damage Reporting: Complete necessary documentation for any damages incurred during transit.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage the movement and positioning of storage units to enhance material flow and operate safety equipment in the yard.
- Maintenance Duties: Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of storage areas and equipment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Inventory Tracking: Conduct regular inventories of raw materials and finished products to uphold accurate records and perform reconciliations as needed.
- Receiving Support: Assist with the processing of incoming materials to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Training Participation: Complete all required training programs.
- Quality Control: Ensure all tasks meet the quality standards established by the organization.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in percentages.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, material handling, or a related field is advantageous.
- Work Authorization: Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
