We're responsible for processing these events quickly, creating seamless user experiences. Our APIs are central to our hub and partner hubs, making our team's work pivotal in modern smart homes.

Your Role:

">

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a hybrid role, you'll be based onsite 3 days a week at our Minneapolis office. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Designing and maintaining cloud services that are scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant.">
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvement and influencing strategy within the team's responsibility.">
  • Improving quality, uptime, and monitoring for all existing applications and applying best practices for new development.">
  • Leading projects and creating new architectural designs with your team members.">
  • Collaborating across global teams.">
  • Mentoring other team members.">
  • Setting professional standards for the company by role-modeling core values.">

Requirements:

">

To excel in this role, you'll need:

">
  • ">
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.">
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.">
  • Strong development skills, preferably in Java or another JVM-based language.">
  • Experience in designing and developing microservices and REST APIs.">
  • Experience with deploying to cloud-based services like AWS or GCP.">
  • Experience with cloud services deployments, monitoring, and production support.">
  • Ability to work within established infrastructure and quickly become familiar.">
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.">
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.">
  • Eager to learn new technologies and adapt to new and changing requirements.">

Preferred Skills:

You'll have an edge if you have experience with DynamoDB and Redis, as well as hands-on experience with at least one of the following cloud offerings: AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Compensation:

">

The base compensation range for this position is $108,743 to $157,677. Your actual base salary will depend on many factors, including your experience, skills, technical expertise, and market alignment. You'll also be eligible for a 20% annual target bonus based heavily on individual performance.
