Environmental Solutions Coordinator

The Environmental Solutions Coordinator will manage all technical assistance operations within the waste management facilities of the organization. This role is essential to ensure that all personnel and facilities adhere to company policies, procedures, and the relevant laws and regulations governing them. The Coordinator will also provide technical assistance to both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan, organize, and oversee daily technical operations to meet or surpass organizational, client, and regulatory standards.
- Support customer service and facilities in the categorization of waste materials.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of DOT regulations and classifications.
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of RCRA regulations and classifications.
- Engage with all clients in a respectful and professional manner.
- Serve as a technical resource for customer service and operational teams.
- Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Review and assist in the development and management of necessary waste profiles.
- Provide technical support to sales and operations for both internal and third-party waste management.
- Complete disposal certificates as required.
- Coordinate with receiving facilities to establish disposal parameters.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to incoming and outgoing materials.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Help operations identify potentially hazardous materials.
- Assist in the pre-screening of materials for GFL-owned and third-party disposal facilities.
- Build and maintain daily relationships with internal and external vendors and clients.

Qualifications:
- Must possess a diploma in Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations is essential.
- Previous laboratory or technical experience is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Windows and Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and able to work effectively in a team setting.
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented approach is necessary.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to assist in the development and implementation of new procedures in collaboration with the direct supervisor.
- This position primarily allows for remote work with occasional travel and office visits.
