Position Overview:


Under the guidance of the Outpatient Imaging Manager, Imaging Supervisor, and/or Radiologist, the individual will execute a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT scans, invasive techniques, post-processing, and x-ray imaging within the radiology department and surgical settings.


Educational Qualifications:

Mandatory:
A graduate from an ARRT accredited radiologic technology program.

Continuing Education:
Must comply with all continuing education requirements.

Desirable:
ARRT(CT) certification.

Professional Experience:

Mandatory:
Experience in a medical or hospital clinical environment is essential. Basic computer proficiency is required (1-2 years of work experience or relevant college coursework).

Desirable:
Prior experience in a hospital or physician's office setting.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Mandatory:
ARRT certification (must meet all continuing education requirements). ARRT registry eligibility is required (must complete within one year).

Radiological students from an accredited Radiology program who have completed all academic courses (must be registry eligible within three months and complete registry within one year).

BLS certification must be completed prior to assignment and maintained thereafter.

Preferred:
ARRT (CT) certification.

Departmental Overview:


Under the supervision of the Outpatient Imaging Director, Imaging Supervisor, and/or Radiologist, the role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT scans, invasive procedures, post-processing, and x-ray imaging in both radiology and surgical contexts.

This position necessitates independent judgment and initiative in the use of x-ray and computerized tomographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.


The individual must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care tailored to the age of patients encountered in emergency and surgical departments.


Furthermore, the individual must exhibit the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's condition and interpret the relevant information required to identify each patient's needs according to their age-specific requirements, ensuring the delivery of care as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
