Position Overview:
Mammography Specialist PRN

Work Environment:
Join our dedicated team in a supportive and professional atmosphere. This role involves providing coverage at various locations, ensuring high-quality patient care and services.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts), with rotating availability.

Weekly Commitment:
Average of 28 hours per week.

Qualifications Required:
- Valid Texas Medical Board License
- Current ARRT certification in Mammography or eligibility to take the advanced level exam with documented clinical experience.
- Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.

Continuing Education:
- MQSA/FDA: 15 CEUs every 3 years
- 200 documented case numbers every 2 years

Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies.

Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepare for and assist Radiologists in performing complex mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
- Produce high-quality imaging for radiological evaluation.
- Educate patients about the importance of regular mammography for preventive breast health.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
- Ensure precise mammography positioning and exposure techniques.
- Complete necessary documentation and perform quality control functions related to mammography.
- Assist in maintaining statistical data.
- Promote patient privacy and comfort throughout the process.
