Position Overview
The ideal candidate for this position should be flexible with morning shifts during weekdays and have weekend availability to assist as needed.

The Kid's Space Retail Attendant is tasked with ensuring a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for children while their guardians shop, as well as preparing and serving food and beverages, all while upholding cleanliness for our guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Welcome guests warmly and take food and beverage orders
  • Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, and assembling pre-packaged items
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of perishable goods
  • Articulate menu items and recommend products to guests
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guest preferences
  • Operate cash registers and credit card processing machines
  • Adhere to all food safety and health regulations
  • Implement procedures to minimize food waste and spoilage
  • Restock supplies, manage inventory, and place orders as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness of food preparation tools, including thorough cleaning and sanitizing before and after use
  • Ensure all surfaces involved in food handling are kept clean, including counters and microwaves
  • Address any spills or leaks promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness in service and seating areas
  • Follow all Kid's Space Standard Operating Procedures, including child check-in/out protocols and parent notifications
  • Utilize all tools in accordance with company standards and follow check-in/check-out processes
Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-traffic, customer-facing retail environment or a related customer service field is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is necessary for successful job performance.

Certifications: Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Beverage Certification as required by state and local regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range serves as a guideline for potential pay for this role. Actual pay will be influenced by various factors, including the applicant's education, relevant experience, skills, and internal equity, as well as alignment with market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to adjust this pay range as needed.

Compensation: $19.65

Team members in Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Centers may qualify for team bonuses based on achieving specific goals and KPIs.
