Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Job Description
You will be responsible for maintaining TaskUs's high standard of safety while operating self-driving vehicles. This includes consistently demonstrating situational awareness, understanding the technology in your care, and adjusting to changes in the environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining TaskUs's safety standards inside and outside the vehicle;
- Demonstrating situational awareness and adapting to changing environments;
- Serving as the deputy for technology by communicating effectively with management, engineers, and the public;
- Operating/driver autonomous vehicles for 6-8 hours daily, either alone or with a co-driver;
- Capturing accurate verbal and written feedback regarding the vehicle's operations;
- Completing daily reports and documenting procedures and tests;
- Interacting with the public and educating them on self-driving technology;
- Operate onboard data recording computers;
- Comfortably riding as a passenger in a self-driving vehicle where the driver may have little control over the vehicle's operations;
- Responsibly setting up and recovering driverless vehicles, including disengaging the self-driving car and driving it to a safe location;
- Exercising excellent customer service while assisting passengers to disembark, board the rescue vehicle, and safely drive them to their destination.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience driving on public roads;
- Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e., Gmail, Hangouts, Driver, Sheets, and Docs);
- Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone;
- The ability to type at least 40 adjusted words per minute;
- A valid driving record that meets state AVT and/or other applicable regulations and laws;
- A High School Diploma or GED; and a four-year college degree in a related field (preferred).
