Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Sonographer to join our team at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound scanning procedures, including abdominal echoes, renal, aorta, thyroid, pelvic, obstetrical, bio-physical profiles, vascular studies, testicular, and breast exams.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to review and report findings, providing written reports and taking representative anatomical pictures.
  • Maintain ultrasound rooms for optimal efficiency, stocking supplies and ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
  • Attend safety training programs and adhere to hospital exposure control plans and blood-borne and airborne pathogens protocols.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • 1-2 years' experience in an acute care hospital.
  • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or eligible.
