About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at Tufts Medical Center. As a critical member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between deaf patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert interpreting services for deaf patients and hearing healthcare professionals across various medical settings.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, clinicians, and departments, coordinating the referral process and serving as a trainer to educate staff working with deaf and hard of hearing patients.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant ASL interpreting experience.
  • Accredited American Sign Language (ASL) Certification.
  • State Licensure where applicable.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Tufts Medical Center is committed to providing competitive compensation and benefits to our employees. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
