Role Summary:
We are looking for an Entitlements Manager to oversee the due diligence process for new property acquisitions and manage the entitlements process for our upcoming communities. This role involves close collaboration with consultants and the land acquisition team to ensure timely and accurate submissions, as well as working with municipalities to secure necessary zoning and engineering approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee geotechnical, environmental, and related consultants to conduct essential due diligence for land acquisitions.
- Review and finalize reports from consultants to identify and mitigate risks associated with land acquisition and development.
- Prepare due diligence questionnaires and other necessary documentation in collaboration with the land acquisition team.
- Engage with City, County, and Federal agencies to address and resolve due diligence concerns.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to entitlements and environmental matters by coordinating with relevant agencies.
- Facilitate the development process by coordinating with development and operations teams.
- Supervise and schedule the activities of consultants and subcontractors to ensure adherence to development timelines.
- Collaborate with legal teams to draft and review development agreements and necessary contracts with regulatory bodies.
- Represent the division at public hearings and meetings to secure required development and construction approvals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Land Planning, Engineering, or Environmental Science.
- Familiarity with State and Federal development and environmental regulations, as well as local planning and zoning requirements.
- Strong network and understanding of the local market.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional analytical and writing skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated work ethic and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
