About the Role:
Position: GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Project Overview:
As a GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be tasked with the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate closely with our development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and optimization of cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our cloud strategy, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:
- Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure GCP solutions.
Collaboration:
- Partner with development, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate GCP services with existing systems and applications.
Optimization:
- Monitor and enhance the performance and cost-effectiveness of cloud resources.
Security:
- Implement and uphold security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and network security.
Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to GCP infrastructure and applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with extensive knowledge in deploying, debugging, and executing cloud computing initiatives.
- Proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining GCP cloud-based systems to ensure efficient data storage and compliance with security policies.
- Demonstrated expertise with key GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
- Skilled in Python and SQL, with a solid background in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experienced in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in the healthcare sector.
Location:
- Hartford, CT (3 days onsite per week)
Salary Range:
- The compensation for this role is between $100,000 and $120,000 annually. Factors influencing pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
