In this critical role, you will be responsible for receiving and prioritizing emergency calls from the public, utilizing advanced computer-aided dispatch systems to efficiently manage incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives and evaluates emergency calls, providing critical support to the community during times of crisis
  • Operates complex communication equipment, including multi-frequency radios and computer-aided dispatch systems
  • Determines appropriate responses to emergency situations, often working under pressure to make quick decisions
  • Maintains accurate records of incident details, ensuring seamless coordination between emergency responders

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in customer service or public safety sectors preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiarity with Windows-based computer programs and geographic information systems (GIS)

Compensation: $34.09-$44.01 per hour
