**Teach and Inspire the Next Generation of Firefighters**

We are seeking a dedicated instructor to join our team at South Puget Sound Community College. As a Fire Instructor for Emergency Response Training, you will play a vital role in shaping the skills and knowledge of students in our esteemed Thurston County Fire Training Academy.

**About the Position**

This is an hourly non-permanent position with competitive pay and benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing courses during the five-month long Fire Academy program. We are looking for someone with strong teaching and communication skills, as well as experience in fire training and education.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Instruct courses to students in the Fire Academy program
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and materials
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback

  • Recruitment through affiliated fire department to work for SPSCC Corporate & Continuing Education Department
  • Confirmation of appointment to the Thurston County Fire Training Academy from SPSCC Corporate & Continuing Education and affiliated fire department
