This position has the option of being a fully remote in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia. Alternate work location is San Antonio, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for design, analysis, documentation, verification, and test of spaceflight electronics hardware for command and control, data storage, signal processing, power generation and distribution, and communications;
  • Work on the full lifecycle design for related spaceflight electronics in high reliability systems for space applications; define requirements, write specifications, perform analysis and implement designs from concept to hardware; lead and work with team of engineers.
  • Interface with customers, and compile and present data to justify design.
  • Work with team of engineers across the technical spectrum.
Daily and Monthly Tasks
  • Develop hardware solutions for various spacecraft systems.
  • Support simulation, analysis, and test of hardware to verify technical performance.
  • Provide input to software and FPGA designs.
  • Leading and supporting proposals for space electronics.
  • Complete documentation efforts associated with hardware designs, including specifications, user manuals, and test plans.
  • Identifying and leading internal research and development efforts.
  • Mentoring lower level hardware developers and identifying training opportunities for entry level staff to help and guide in career growth.
Requirements
  • Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading development of hardware for high reliability applications.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading team of engineers through electrical hardware projects meeting cost, technical and schedule constraints.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
  • Salary range: $95,930-$179,109
