Job Summary

Bryan Health is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients, including those requiring mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and manage advanced respiratory therapy, including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) and other complex ventilation modes.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for critically ill patients, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data, and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on respiratory care and disease management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for critically ill patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement protocols for respiratory care.
  • Conduct quality improvement initiatives to enhance respiratory care services and patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in respiratory care and critical care medicine, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA program of Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed to practice respiratory care (LRCP) in the state of Nebraska.
  • Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Active Adult Critical Care Specialist (RRT-ACCS) and/or Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialty (RRT-NPS) certification.
  • Minimum of two years experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) or Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) certification.
