Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Systems Administrator to join our team at Altec Industries, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise cloud infrastructure, including private cloud environments
  • Collaborate with development teams for infrastructure provisioning and deployment
  • Coordinate with IS groups, such as security, support desk, and application delivery, to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing systems
  • Analyze and evaluate cloud infrastructure performance and usage, providing reports and recommendations for improvement
  • Assist with managing infrastructure costs and budgets
  • Coordinate and plan with teams to ensure high availability and recoverability of infrastructure
  • Oversee data backup and recovery procedures for all systems
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in relevant infrastructure technologies, exploring and recommending new opportunities and solutions for the company

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred, but consideration may be given to an exceptional candidate with 8 years of relevant experience
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience in installing, managing, designing, and troubleshooting infrastructure at an enterprise scale
  • Proven Server Administration experience with Windows or Linux Systems

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Technologies
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting technologies used with infrastructure technologies
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, or similar technologies
  • Experience with storage and network technologies
  • Experience with managing data backup and recovery
  • Experience with managing technology costs
  • Able to draw on research and experience to resolve complex problems
  • Ability to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution
