About the Role

Oreva Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead our cloud-based data engineering initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems on Azure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI Dataflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and provide insights to business stakeholders.
  • Implement data security measures, including row-level security, column-level security, and object-level security.
  • Develop and maintain semantic models in Azure Fabric using Direct Lake query mode.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure services and technologies, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Notebooks, and Azure Repos.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in building data and analytics platforms on Azure.
  • 5+ years of programming experience in Python/Pyspark.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including implementation of major initiatives and semantic model development.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud-based data migration and database management (MSSQL, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse).
  • Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflow) and source control (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GIT).
  • Experience with Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Notebooks.
