About the Role

We're seeking an experienced process operations expert to join our team at Xylem. As a key member of our industrial water treatment team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes. Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment in accordance with established procedures, including bagging products, samples, and tests; managing spent carbon feed to reactivation furnaces; switching tank feed from one tank to another of spent carbon; calibrating PH probes; operating a filter press; running facility wastewater treatment plants; calibrating weigh belts every other hour; checking incoming city water TDS daily; ensuring POTW discharge parameters are within permit limits; and performing hourly inspections of WWTPs and completing logs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the required standards of quality and purity.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve problems efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must be licensed forklift driver or able to obtain forklift certification at time of hire.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of chemicals used in specific regeneration processes, ability to communicate clearly to team members and management, familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products, and experience with implementing 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
