Job Description:

Max rate: $BR/hr. Remote role. We seek highly experienced candidates for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Must have working experience in DevOps, Public Clouds, and Automation. Should have worked as a team player or independent contributor in an enterprise-scale environment.
  • Ability to understand requirements and work independently with minimal support.
  • Knowledge to grasp existing setup/tools, find scope for improvement, create & plan, and execute them.
  • Exposure in sprint-style project execution and active team player, ready to work in shifts if needed.
  • Good English writing and speaking ability required for writing SOPs, Readme files, change logs, carrying out demos, and updating status to leads on ongoing and completed tasks/projects.
  • Typical work consists of working on one or more tasks assigned by lead/manager, carried out during a sprint.
  • Automation tasks involve creation of custom scripts (shell/bash/python/Perl), creating Jenkins pipelines for build & release for both AWS and AZURE platforms, and extensive use/writing of chef cookbooks & moderate use of Ansible playbooks for configuration management.
  • Using Terraform & Packer for provisioning VMs/AMI/VM images, managing source code in GIT, and supporting Operation and Build teams by automating frequently performed operation tasks, builds, and patching.
  • Re-structuring/re-writing of scripts to set up Apache/Jboss/Weblogic/Tomcat for Docker/containerization environment.
  • Must have very good knowledge of AWS and Azure platform (one of these is mandatory).
  • Should be good at automation skills using Shell scripting, PowerShell, Ruby, HCL, Python, Packer, JSON, YAML, ARM Templates, DSC, AWS-CLI, AZ-CLI, etc.
  • Extensive working experience desired on Linux & its flavors platforms (Centos or RHEL is must).
  • In-depth knowledge on all types of Package Management for Linux OS (Yum/dnf/apt/dpkg, etc.).
  • Should be well-versed in working with cloud core services, like - VM, images compute, Storage, network, Resource group, Tagging, IAM, Serveless, Lambda Functions, Cloud Formation, etc.
  • Working experience must with DevOp lifecycle management - Package/Build/Release/configuration management for cloud platform (AWS/Azure preferred).
  • Must have hand-on with tools widely used in DevOps, such as GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Chef, Terraform, Ansible, AZ Repo, AZ-Pipeline/Release.
  • Should be good with Middleware Technologies such as Jboss, Tomcat, Apache, and Weblogic.
  • Should be familiar with working with API & basic knowledge of db.
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications/skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred qualifications/skills:

  • Very good written and presentation/verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role.
  • In-depth requirement understanding skills with good analytical and problem-solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management framework.
