Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team in Northern California. This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week from one of our Northern CA offices (Berkeley or San Francisco offices) during our normal business hours.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have 7-20+ years of work experience as an Environmental and/or Safety Professional with a focus on Waste, Water, Air, and/or Safety/IH, preferably in a consulting environment. Key responsibilities include performing professional engineering work of considerable complexity, executing technical projects, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as CalARP, SPCCs, HMBPs, CERS, and TRI Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing complex engineering tasks, analyzing regulatory requirements, and providing technical expertise in multimedia services, Hazardous Waste/Materials management, Storm Water, Wastewater compliance, On-Site compliance, and Safety/IH;
  • Supporting project teams, communicating with clients and regulatory agencies, and developing practical solutions to regulatory issues;
  • Analyzing data, preparing reports, and submitting timely documentation for permits and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree or higher in Public Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or any other relevant degree from an accredited college/university (minimum GPA of 3.0);
  • CSP or CIH highly preferred;
  • Experience in supporting project teams, analyzing data, and communicating complex information effectively.
