A Snapshot of Your Day
- Act as the primary contact for all matters related to construction, erection, and commissioning (EC) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the ongoing liaison for project management and sub-project management, ensuring effective communication with EC team leaders.
- Assume responsibilities of EC personnel until they are assigned to the project, facilitating a smooth transition of duties post-kick-off meeting.
- Address inquiries related to planning, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning, coordinating responses among EC experts.
- Provide timely feedback on project queries, offering alternative solutions when necessary.
- Monitor EC-related financial aspects and ensure proper handover of concurrent costing to relevant project managers.
- In the Grid Technologies (GT) sector, coordinate requests for quotations and assist in drafting and managing erection contracts.
- Support bid management by providing technical clarifications and relevant documentation during the bidding process.
- Collaborate with project schedulers to review and optimize project timelines, identifying necessary resources for execution.
How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Be the single point of contact for all erection and commissioning issues throughout the project.
- Communicate effectively with project team members, addressing changes in project direction proactively.
- Assist in project bid costing and contribute to discussions on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Facilitate the transition from bid costing to order entry costing, ensuring alignment with project execution.
- Manage risks and opportunities identified during the bidding phase and communicate them to execution teams.
- Review customer and supplier contracts, ensuring clarity on services provided by EC.
- Coordinate with EC specialist units for detailed project scheduling and planning.
- Engage EC experts in feasibility studies and planning processes.
- Clarify tender documents and service delimitations with head office and national companies.
- Track scheduling for construction, erection, and commissioning activities until they are handed over to site managers.
- Compile a maintenance work list and ensure its implementation by the site management team.
- Participate in regular project discussions, focusing on status updates, concurrent costing, and risk management.
- Develop a master test plan outlining acceptance criteria for high-voltage transmission projects.
- Represent appointed EC personnel until they are integrated into the project team.
- Schedule internal and external personnel for erection and commissioning tasks.
- Plan for the procurement of necessary tools and equipment for project execution.
- Oversee the setup of construction sites and coordinate system testing in designated areas.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings to discuss parameters, risks, and costing with key personnel.
- Address potential non-compliance costs and opportunities early in the project.
- Support customer inquiries related to erection, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Assist the commissioning manager during customer training sessions.
- Gather and share lessons learned regarding assembly and related issues.
What You Bring (requirements)
- Extensive experience in test field operations, erection, and commissioning.
- Proven functional management experience.
- 7 – 10 years of experience in Construction Management with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
- Legal authorization for employment in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
