Job Summary

Penn State University is seeking a Part-Time Environmental Camp Counselor to assist with daily functions at the Summer Youth Environmental Camp. The successful candidate will work closely with the Camp Instructor to provide a quality and enjoyable learning experience for campers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Camp Instructor with daily tasks, including setting up camp materials and organizing camp activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to campers with projects and activities.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the Camp Instructor and other staff members to ensure a smooth and successful camp experience.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions.
  • Participation in Mandated Reporter Training and successful background checks prior to the first camp session.
Clearances
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • FBI Criminal Background Check
