Our vision is to drastically reduce global emissions while bolstering domestic manufacturing, reducing industrial air pollution, and promoting clean energy leadership.
Role Summary
We are seeking a pivotal Vice President to establish a robust finance organization tailored for climate infrastructure. This finance function will be instrumental in developing some of the largest energy storage initiatives globally and facilitating the decarbonization of highly carbon-intensive industries.
This strategic role will be essential as Antora scales operations, focusing on financing strategies and execution for both corporate initiatives and project developments, including a substantial pipeline of projects. The ideal candidate will be a versatile finance expert, adept at navigating the complexities of infrastructure finance and climate technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead critical corporate and project finance transactions to support the launch of our multi-GWh projects, including securing equity, debt, tax equity, and structured financing.
- Oversee tax credit monetization and financing strategies, addressing working capital needs for major industrial decarbonization projects.
- Manage all facets of transaction execution, including marketing, negotiation, structuring, financial modeling, investor due diligence, and documentation.
- Conduct due diligence and commercial negotiations while managing data rooms effectively.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with debt, tax equity, and equity investors, as well as strategic partners.
- Develop and utilize complex corporate and project finance models, mentoring team members in model creation.
- Collaborate with leadership to formulate an innovative financing roadmap for Antora.
- Coordinate the acquisition of third-party reports to support financial activities, including independent engineer assessments and market studies.
- Prepare marketing materials for capital raising efforts, including teasers and investment presentations.
- Present financing proposals, effectively communicating across diverse audiences and asset classes.
- Recruit top-tier finance professionals to contribute to Antora's ambitious financial initiatives.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador for the evolving finance team.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
- 5-10+ years of experience in investment banking, project development, project finance, and private equity.
- Experience in energy and industrial infrastructure is essential.
- Proven leadership in deal structuring and financing.
- Expertise in complex financial modeling across corporate and project finance.
- Demonstrated ability to create compelling deal marketing materials.
- Strong network among capital providers in project finance and climate technology sectors.
- Comprehensive track record in corporate debt, equity, infrastructure, and tax equity financing.
- Experience managing finance teams, particularly in formative stages.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, entrepreneurial environment.
- History of establishing effective processes and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with infrastructure and private equity investors is advantageous.
- Background in climate technology startups is a plus.
- Familiarity with government and philanthropic funding sources is beneficial.
