Position Summary:
The Supportive Care Assistant plays a vital role in assisting the Nursing Department and staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare unoccupied beds for residents.
- Label residents' clothing and personal items.
- Manage the distribution of personal and facility laundry.
- Assist with clearing dishes in the dining area.
- Transport and escort residents to various locations within the facility.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Note: The Supportive Care Assistant does not provide or assist with direct resident care.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective communication skills with residents and their families.
- Willingness to learn infection control procedures.
- Demonstrated patience and courtesy.
