Dietitian Nutritionist I Part-Time Position

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team at The University of Texas Medical Branch. This position will be split between the UTMB Angleton Danbury Campus and UTMB Clearlake Campus, located in Angleton and Webster, TX, respectively. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field, completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), and eligibility for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24. The Registered Dietitian will report to the system Clinical Nutrition Manager and will be responsible for performing nutrition-focused physical exams, providing nutrition support recommendations and education, monitoring and evaluating patient care outcomes, and participating in departmental and clinical meetings. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to creatively problem solve in a self-directed and team-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform nutrition-focused physical exams and provide nutrition support recommendations and education as needed
- Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes on an ongoing basis
- Participate in departmental and clinical meetings related to areas of practice
- Utilize electronic medical records (experience with Epic Electronic System preferred) within the practice environment and be familiar with the Nutrition Care Process
- Have a strong focus on driving outstanding patient satisfaction results and driving process improvement activities
- Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field
- Completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Eligibility for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
