Join Michael Page, a 40-year-old family-owned company with a nationwide presence in construction management, as we seek a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead our MEP/HVAC systems commissioning process.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a minimum of 7 years of experience in their field, who can provide expert technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful completion of our projects. As an SME, you will be responsible for functioning as a field quality assurance inspector for MEP/HVAC systems, providing Cx program oversight and coordination of the Design-Builder's Cx Plan, and working closely with our Commissioning Agent to promote project achievement of system performance in compliance with the design basis.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional registration as a mechanical engineer, an engineering degree from an accredited college or university, and the ability to pass a US government security background clearance. They will also have excellent organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work with digital tools for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities
  • Fully comprehend the project's requirements and ensure that all MEP/HVAC systems meet the specified standards
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Cx plan, ensuring seamless integration with the Design-Builder's plan
  • Work collaboratively with the Commissioning Agent to monitor progress, address any issues, and provide necessary technical assistance
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on the commissioning process, highlighting successes and areas for improvement
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on MEP/HVAC systems
  • A professional registration as a mechanical engineer and an engineering degree from an accredited institution
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams
