Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) coordinates and provides nursing care for residents, supervises and guides clinical staff members, and ensures the delivery of exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and provide nursing care for residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting resident information.
  • Supervise and direct junior staff members and CNAs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, utilizing supplies economically and equipment properly.
  • Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Interview applicants and recommend hires, participating in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff as needed.
  • Supervise nursing unit, including scheduling and directing the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN school of nursing.
  • Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year experience in nursing preferred.
