Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our established neurosurgery practice in Toledo, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care and will be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtains complete histories and performs physical exams, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families
  • Assists with neurosurgical consults and admissions, and with provider rounding, to include: writing notes, orders, wound care, etc.
  • Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, families, staff and members of the community from diverse backgrounds
  • Facilitates the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and services
  • Works in a collaborative team approach, with other health professionals to determine health needs of patients and families
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations and adheres to the institutional and departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters of nursing (MSN) degree with an Acute Care focus. Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Ohio. Inpatient or ICU / Critical Care experienced highly preferred. Neurosurgical experience highly preferred. Knowledge on how to perform neurological assessments preferred. Candidate must have proven history of managing multiple inpatients. Current CPR certification required.
  • Physician Assistant: Masters degree. Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Ohio. PA-C. Inpatient or ICU / Critical Care experienced highly preferred. Neurosurgical experience highly preferred. Knowledge on how to perform neurological assessments preferred. Candidate must have proven history of managing multiple inpatients. Certificate of Authority to practice is required. Current CPR certification required.
