Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective preparation and distribution of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Pharmacy Services: Assist in the provision of pharmaceutical services, including drug preparation, distribution, inventory control, quality control, and proper documentation according to policy and procedure.
- Medication Management: Perform advanced medication management functions, including second-level narcotics management, statistical analysis of narcotic utilization, and patient medication history interviews.
- Clerical Tasks: Perform general clerical tasks, such as updating patient information and preparing accurate documentation related to patients in medical and departmental records.
- Safety and Compliance: Participate in quality improvement processes, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and adhere to infection-control protocols.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
- Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Experience: 4 years of recent relevant experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology, generic and trade pharmaceutical names, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations.
This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
