Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients' recovery objectives and improving their well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and comforting patients to prepare them for their physical therapy sessions.
- Providing excellent customer service skills and encouraging patients when appropriate.
- Following the plan of care established for each patient by the therapist.
- Assisting therapists with non-clinical tasks and supporting patients' success in therapy.
- Educating patients about equipment, ensuring they use it safely and correctly.
- Assisting patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Applying therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation.
- Helping patients who need assistance walking from one area to another, using proper techniques to ensure their safety.
- Maintaining 360 communication with patients, physicians, other staff members, and anyone involved in the patient's care.
- Preparing and keeping treatment areas clean and organized.
- Complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintaining a solid level of productivity and observing and recording any progress or changes to the Physical Therapist.
Other tasks may be assigned by the clinic director.
Qualifications
- No required education or experience necessary.
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills required.
- Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree.
- Must be committed to Team's initiative of making DEI a priority, bringing a sense of belonging and empowerment within a diverse workforce.
