Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Nurse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional, patient-focused care and overseeing all operations within the unit during the assigned shift. Collaborating with the management team, the Supervisor directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's mission and values to foster an outstanding patient experience and clinical outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with patient admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient operations and high-quality care.
  • Engage in the continuous evaluation of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
  • Work with subject matter experts and other leaders to cultivate a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
  • Promote a patient-centered philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support facility initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement through various nursing strategies.
  • Provide input on the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff, and recommend actions related to training and development.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Oversee inventory management and assist with the procurement of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Orthopedics.
