Compensation: We provide competitive remuneration along with commission on top-tier pricing. Commissions range from 37% to 42% plus an additional 10% on retail sales (typically averaging $59-$84+ per hour).

Candidate Profile:

SUMMARY:

The Wellness Practitioner is tasked with delivering body treatments and massages to guests, ensuring exceptional service that aligns with our high standards.

This role requires a commitment to providing outstanding service to both internal and external guests, embodying the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa culture, and upholding our core values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Accountability, and Passion for Service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver timely services for each appointment.
  • Arrive punctually as per the scheduled shifts.
  • Provide guests with general information about the resort.
  • Administer professional body treatments in line with spa protocols.
  • Adapt to scheduling needs and assist with spa events.
  • Maintain equipment and manage product usage for cost efficiency.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of services and products, educating guests accordingly.
  • Achieve retail sales targets by promoting home care programs.
  • Adhere to sanitation and sterilization standards as mandated.
  • Encourage guests to explore additional hotel services and amenities.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and restocking as needed.
  • Communicate any relevant occurrences involving staff or guests to management.
  • Actively promote spa services, treatments, and available promotions.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to guest requests.
  • Work independently while maintaining a positive team environment.
  • Participate in training and staff meetings regularly.
  • Assist in various spa operations as directed by management.
  • Stay informed about hotel amenities and special events.
  • Maintain accurate time records and adhere to dress code standards.
  • Exhibit alertness and courtesy towards guests and colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid massage therapy license is mandatory.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Required: One year of customer service experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required.
  • Natural ability to engage with others is essential.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is necessary.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills are required.
  • Detail-oriented approach is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are expected.
  • Commitment to fostering a teamwork-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members, resolving conflicts diplomatically.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk intermittently.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs at shoulder height.
  • Occasional pushing/pulling of up to 50 lbs may be required.
  • Frequent fine manipulation and repetitive movements are necessary.
  • Occasional bending, squatting, and kneeling may be required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
