Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer Specialist

DirectViz Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer Specialist to join our team in Meridian, MS.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented individual to provide technical support, training, and implementation of ELMR systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong dedication to providing quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and training to internal and external clients on ELMR systems.
  • Implement and configure ELMR systems, including testing and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with the Regional ELMR Manager/Assistant Manager in the development of talk groups.
  • Configure Radio Set Identifiers (RSIs) and troubleshoot radio subscriber units and/or network configurations.
  • Assist the Advanced Services teams with deployments, installations, rollouts, and maintenance.
  • Escalate issues to Advanced Services and the Management team as appropriate.
  • Report updates, discrepancies, outages or issues to management.
Requirements
  • Education: DoD8570 IAT Level II (e.g. Sec+)
  • Clearance: Secret
  • 1-3 years' experience in supporting ELMR, Motorola radios or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent team skills, must be thorough, must have excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be results-oriented with flexibility and tenacity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment.
  • Strong dedication to provide quality customer service.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability.
Physical and Mental Qualifications
  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard).
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language.
  • Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
  • Learns and remembers routine tasks.
  • Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills.
