June Shelton School and Evaluation Center is a leading private institution dedicated to providing education for students with unique learning profiles. We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our Outreach program as Scholars Tutors.
The Shelton Scholars initiative aims to assist students who face challenges in conventional educational settings, specifically targeting those who are not enrolled at Shelton.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Scholars Tutor will:
- Provide tutoring services within the Outreach program, focusing on children aged six and older in essential skills such as reading, spelling, handwriting, auditory processing, and memory enhancement.
- Implement the Sequential English Education (SEE) curriculum effectively.
- Engage with students in a professional and supportive manner, advocating for their educational needs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to foster a cohesive learning environment.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A High School diploma.
- Proficiency in tutoring children in reading, spelling, and handwriting.
- Experience or knowledge in working with students who have learning differences is advantageous.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with technology.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
