The Shelton Scholars initiative aims to assist students who face challenges in conventional educational settings, specifically targeting those who are not enrolled at Shelton.

Role Responsibilities

The Scholars Tutor will:

  • Provide tutoring services within the Outreach program, focusing on children aged six and older in essential skills such as reading, spelling, handwriting, auditory processing, and memory enhancement.
  • Implement the Sequential English Education (SEE) curriculum effectively.
  • Engage with students in a professional and supportive manner, advocating for their educational needs.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to foster a cohesive learning environment.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A High School diploma.
  • Proficiency in tutoring children in reading, spelling, and handwriting.
