Job Overview

TX-STAR Speech Language Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to provide instructional support to students identified as deaf or hard-of-hearing. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional support to students with hearing impairments to ensure a quality educational program.
  • Collaborate with campus teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Utilize knowledge of sign language and adaptive/assistive devices to support student communication needs.
  • Participate in the ARD process to ensure student progress and achievement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university.
  • Experience working with students with hearing loss, preferably in a special education setting.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate as a teacher of the deaf/hard-of-hearing or teacher of students with auditory impairments.
