The State of Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled and dependable Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to provide essential upkeep and preservation services within our state game lands. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and integrity of our natural resources.
Key Responsibilities- Perform semi-skilled duties and assist with various tasks such as the maintenance, repair, and construction of bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, posting signs, ranges, and more.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, signage, and surveying new game land tracts.
- Perform habitat management tasks and complete mowing duties to include border cuts and access trail maintenance for outdoor recreationalists.
- Assist with nursery production through the securing of seeds, and the pruning and releasing of fruit and nut trees, shrubs, and vines for wildlife food enhancement.
- One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment; or
- One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment; or
- One year of construction equipment operation experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possess an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
- Obtain an active Class A Commercial Driver's License within one year of employment in this job.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
