Music Ministry Director

Munholland Methodist Church is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Music Ministry Leader to join our team. As a key member of our worship team, you will be responsible for leading congregational music and creating an atmosphere of intimate worship and celebration.

• Develop and implement music programs for children and adults, including recruiting, training, and coordinating musical staff, guest musicians, and volunteer singers and musicians.
• Supervise the organist and paid section leaders, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality music ministry.
• Work closely with the Pastor to coordinate the elements of Sunday morning worship services, including planning worship sets, hymns, and instrumental selections.
• Lead the music at Sunday morning worship services, directing the choir, section leaders, and instrumentalists, and leading hymns and worship songs with your voice or instrument.
• Plan and direct choral rehearsals and activities, cultivating a Christ-centered attitude among choir members and leaders.
• Oversee the section leaders of the choir, coordinating special music needs, solos, and other musical requirements.
• Help plan special services and events, including Advent, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, and World Communion Sunday.
• Blend contemporary and traditional styles of worship music to create an Ancient-New atmosphere of worship, using a wide range of worship styles, songs, and instruments.
• Prepare visual media slides and other media needs in ProPresenter each week for all worship services and coordinate the media team for Sunday services and special occasions.

• Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in worship leadership, recruiting, directing, and leading in worship.
• Proven experience in recruiting, directing, and leading in worship, with a strong track record of success.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and the congregation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
