Position Overview: As the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will lead the maintenance team and provide mechanical support across all university campus properties. Your responsibilities will include overseeing repairs and addressing any issues related to mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems. You will also manage employee performance and ensure client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational maintenance training and support.
- Assist operations in implementing initiatives.
- Collaborate with project teams to complete assignments.
- Support districts in the setup and installation of assets.
- Enhance facilities services and organizational reputation by taking ownership of new and diverse requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all tasks are performed safely.
- Manage maintenance staff schedules and responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, supplemented with technical training or equivalent experience.
- College degree preferred.
- Master/Journeyman trade license.
- Certifications in electrical or plumbing are highly preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong customer service skills are essential.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving various issues.
- Mechanically inclined and tech-savvy.
- Valid Non-CDL Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
