About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC systems to identify and repair faults, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and air conditioning equipment.
  • System Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor HVAC system performance and track repairs and maintenance activities to ensure system availability.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency service calls and perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical knowledge and support for unique security requirements, including sound baffling techniques and the resolution of compromising electrical currents.
  • Deployment and Support: Perform periodic deployments in strategic and tactical mobile facility environments, providing expert technical assistance and support for critical system outages.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Vocational or High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years' experience leading to licensure as a Journeyman HVAC or equivalent license at a State level; or six years' experience in an equivalent Military HVAC training/certification.
  • Clearance and Eligibility: Must have a Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals, schematics, etc. Knowledge of HVAC control and monitoring systems and their components, as well as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Possess a North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification and be a US Citizen.
